PhilHealth contribution hike
President Rodrigo Duterte ordered to postpone the 2021 contribution hike for members of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), according to Senator Bong Go on Monday.
Pandemic tayo ngayon, trabaho ng government humanap ng paraan and to make easy for the people,” Go said.
Go earlier said Duterte expressed willingness to sign any papers that would allow the said postponement of contribution hike.
PhilHealth member contributions were supposed to increase to 3.5 percent from 3 percent. This is to ensure enough funding for the healthcare benefits of its members as mandated by the UHC Law.”
Go did not specify when the order would become effective, as well as other details about the order.
PhilHealth has also yet to give a statement on the matter.
