VP Sara vows to solve DepEd problems in six years

“If you give me P100 billion, I will solve all the problems of basic education in 6 years” – VP Sara

During the budget briefing of the House Committee on Appropriations, Vice President and Department of Education Secretary Sara Duterte asked for additional 100 billion budget to resolve problems of basic education.

“Primarily, na-mention po natin doon sa ating presentation [na] if the Department of Education is given the budget that it is requesting, we will be able to open more programs to address the learning problems of our students. So, initially po, lumapit na kami sa Pangulo at sinabi nami… sinabihan ko po ang pangulo na ‘if you give me 100 billion, I will solve all the problems of basic education,’” Duterte said.

“And that is what I want to reiterate as well to Congress and House of Representatives, if you give me… give us, the people here, sitting in front of you P100 billion we will be able to solve the problem in six years. Thank you,” Duterte added.
