DepEd wants all students vaccinated against Covid19

The Department of Education said it wants to have all students who will take part in face-to-face classes vaccinated against Covid19.

Expanded face-to-face classes will start in February.

Education Undersecretary Nepomuceno Malaluan said that the vaccination of students is based on their agreement with the Department of Health.

“Kasama doon sa ating expanded phase ay ang agreement natin ng Department of Health at ang vaccination of all our learners is preferred,” he said.

Malaluan said that the government will focus on the vaccination of young children.

The vaccination of children aged five to 11 will begin on February 4. 

There are about 14 million students in basic education who belong to this age group.
