DepEd receives 450 concerns related to school opening
The Department of Education (DepEd) has already received almost 500 reports on concerns related to the school opening.
As of Aug. 16, the Public Assistance Command Center (PACC) received 470 concerns for its second day of the 2022 “Oplan Balik Eskwela”.
“The main issues received under the Enrollment category were enrollment requirements for transferees, incomplete enrollment requirements, and enrollment confirmation of learners,” DepEd said.
“Meanwhile, the concerns received about School Policy and Operations were mainly on the policy of withholding a learner’s school credentials due to unpaid balance,” DepEd said.
“For Personnel, issues received include filing a formal complaint against a teacher, promotion and ranking process, and transfer of teaching personnel,” the agency added.
DepEd noted that there were also concerns received under the Senior High School (SHS) category about the application and procedure of the SHS Voucher Program.
DepEd also noted that OBE-PACC received 180 walk-in concerns; email queries with 119 concerns; and Facebook inquiries with 85 concerns.
