TeachSTEM Master’s Research Grant
Provides financial aid to STEM educators pursuing the completion of their master’s thesis or capstone project as final requirement for their master’s degree program
Scholarship Benefits
1. One-time financial grant
- PHP 50,000

(i.e., psychosocial support, professional development opportunities, etc.)
Return Service
The Grant Recipient is required share research findings to the stakeholder community and fulfill return service for a period equivalent to the duration of the grant:
- As a full-time Science, Technology or Mathematics teacher/ administrator in a public school in the Philippines, preferably in his/her province or hometown
- As an educator in any basic or tertiary institution.
Eligibility Requirements
- Enrolled in a thesis/ professional track master’s degree specializing in STEM in any of GBF’s partner TEIs.
- Has completed all required coursework and passed the comprehensive examination
- Has a general average of at lease 2.0 or its equivalent in their General Weighted Average for coursework
- Has at least a “satisfactory” rating in teaching performance from previous year.
- Teaching STEM in any K to 2 public institution or as a tertiary instructor in any private or public institution for at least 1 year as full-time faculty
- Not a recipient of a grant from any other institution or person, except for academic grants by the Partner TEI, or any grant with an aggregate amount equivalent to less than 50% of the Grant Amounts provided by GBF in a relevant academic year, which may be allowed at the discretion and upon obtaining the prior written consent of GBF
- In good health
- Of good moral character
- In need of financial support to finish program
Documentary Requirements
- Certificate of Employment
- Copy of PRC ID
- Proof of enrollment or proof of admission with letter of intent to enroll
- Certificate of Performance Rating
- Certified true copy of grades reflecting GWA from course work (computer-generated/ portal-based grades may be submitted under certain circumstances).
- Certificate of Good Moral Character from the Department of Education
- Proof of household income (i.e. two most recent pay slips, Income Tax Return [ITR]).
- Colored ID photo with with background
- Projected Completion of Master’s Thesis or Capstone Project.
- Recommendation Form filled up by the candidate’s thesis adviser or any authority that knows and has worked with regarding your academic development.
- Work Plan indicating completion of Master’s Thesis or Capstone Project.
