Calling the Attention of DepEd Heads to Stop the Latest Seminars that Uproot Teachers from their Classes
Lately, there have been many seminars that uproot teachers from their classes. This creates an interruption the learning process of the students. Why can’t the divisions let teachers focus on their pure job which is teaching? Aren’t teachers supposed to teach and give justice to their lessons?
This is now the cry of the teachers nationwide. To recall, VP Sara announced during her first days that teachers should teach only. Teachers should not have other ancillary works except their teaching loads. Yet, here comes the division giving their teachers a lot of seminars and paperwork.
So, why is it that teachers felt like the division heads are not following the order of VP Sara? Why are they still giving their teachers tons of paperwork? Why are seminars getting the days that supposed to be for the learning of the students? These seminars that uproot teachers from their classes are sometimes redundant already.
Who are to be blame on this problem? The division heads or the higher authority in DepEd? If these seminars that uproot teachers from their classes go on, it will be useless. Teachers get hired for one purpose, and that is to teach the students. It is okay to have seminars for the growth of one, but to have many in a month is unjustifiable.
Seminars that uproot teachers from their classes are rampant in many divisions. Sometimes, these seminars and training are re-echoed and redundant. There are even times when these seminars are getting bored because it is for formality only. Why not give fair seminar to all teachers in unison? In this case, the classes will not be in vain.
DepEd heads should at least look close on these simple problems. Teachers are effective when they teach with no distractions in their way. In this case, they could be twice as effective as before. – Avril | Helpline PH
