Saturdays and Sundays of teachers belong to their families so principals should stop giving them work on those days

Saturdays and Sundays of teachers are very important. Those are the only days they can spend with their loved ones in a week. As we all know that teachers are very busy and overworked with school activities. Most of the time their overtimes become offer times yet they are not complaining.

School principals or heads should also be very considerate of these two days off. In some cases, there are still school heads who failed their teachers. There are school principals who initiates meetings and seminars on those days. Saturdays and Sundays of teachers should be for the families.

DepEd should not tolerate school heads with these kinds of inconsiderate acts. An example of this scenario is a principal initiating an unnecessary seminar. The seminar is very simple and the topic presented is very understandable. Even a college student can do it even without seminar. The principal did it because he wanted to get the signature of his teachers for the attendance. It seemed that the he will use the attendance for the promotion of his sided teacher.

Saturdays and Sunday of teachers are very important for the family. School heads should always remember that. Aside from that, there are many teachers who are not from their localities so they need to travel far to go home. VP Sarah Duterte already told DepEd about these kinds of extra work that should stop. Yet, there are some heads in the divisions who don’t follow.

Saturdays and Sundays of teachers play a very significant role. Our teachers need to breathe from the busy environment they have. The only way to do this is to spend more time with the family. So, school heads and principals you should not take away your teacher’s happiness. Don’t be selfish and think only of yourself, think about the many teachers you have in your school.Avril | Helpline PH
