Weak elderly retired teacher refused to enter a showroom, paid huge cash for a unit in another car dealer
A post went viral online after an elderly retired teacher was not allowed to enter a showroom. This is the story of Tatay Manuel from Lanang, Davao City.
According to the post of Miss Love Dorego, Tatay Manuel was not allowed inside a showroom. The staffs were not that welcoming enough to the elderly. This prompted Tatay Manuel to visit another car dealer. This is where Miss Love met the elderly retired teacher. Miss Love and her colleagues welcomed the elderly and entertained his queries.
If you work in a showroom, how will you react if an elderly will enter? Will you entertain him or not? Are you only looking at person’s physical appearance? This is why we must not judge a book by its cover like what the first showroom did to the elderly.
According to Miss Love, there is a possibility that Tatay Manuel got refused because of his looks. Tatay Manuel at that time was wearing old and stained clothes. He also wore dilapidated shoes with hole in it. His mask was also dirty.
It turned out that this elderly is a retired teacher and he wants to buy a unit for himself. Miss Love entertained the query of this elderly retired teacher. In return he decided to buy a unit from their showroom in cash.
“He walked into our Showroom at Lanang but we didn’t hesitate to let him in and entertained him, asking what unit he wants to inquire about, he said he wants to buy a unit. After presenting our displayed cars he decided to buy the S-presso he said he’ll pay it in cash, but, he will go back the next day because he didn’t bring his money with him being afraid to bring the cash while riding a bus and a jeepney.
Indeed, the next day he came back and my Sales Executive Michael accompanied at home to get the full payment using the car of our branch head Sir Donnie.”
The lesson we can get from the story of this elderly retired teacher is to never underestimate. We must always be fair to everybody from all walks of life.
