VP Sara Advises Parents: Ensure Children Will Finish Their Studies
Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio told parents it’s important for their kids to finish school to have a better future.
She said, “I’m the head of the Department of Education and I want to stress how key it is to educate our kids. Making sure they graduate can really change their lives.” She said this when she visited sugarcane workers in Antique, Negros Occidental for the “Bisita Sacada” project.
She also told these workers to try the Department’s Alternative Learning System Program. This program lets people finish their schooling without going to a regular school.
She noted, “Life is tough, and it’s even tougher for people who don’t finish school. We should all work together for our country’s peace and for our kids’ and families’ education and future.”
Duterte-Carpio thanked Governor Rhodora Cadiao for inviting her to this event.
