List of Schools with Classes Suspended Due to Extreme Heat

The Department of Education has issued prior instructions to elementary and secondary schools to shift to alternative modes of learning delivery, such as modular and online classes, in case of suspension of face-to-face classes due to intense heat.

This list will be updated once local or national authorities make announcements.

Here is a list of areas where on-site classes are suspended for Starting May 13, 2024, due to intense heat

  • Municipality of Rosales, Pangasinan (MAY 2 – 15, All Levels, Public & Private)
  • Municipality of Umingan, Pangasinan (MAY 6 – 31, Suspension of Afternoon Classes, Pre-school to Senior HS, Public Schools)
  • City of Tarlac (MAY 2 – 31, Suspended Afternoon F2F Classes, Pre-school to Senior HS, Public & Private)

Learners are advised to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, stay indoors especially during the hottest part of the day, wear lightweight, breathable clothing, and avoid strenuous activities during peak heat hours.
