This might be the question of everyone especially parents, students and even teachers considering this COVID-19 pandemic.
Department of Education is in the preparation of possible school opening following the current school calendar. But they are open to possibilities of adjustment especially with our current situation. One of the contingency plans they are considering is the use of ICT platform.
Read the statement Usec. Atty. Nepomuceno A. Malaluan regarding this matter.
“School opening preparations, are still “very contingent” on many factors. One limitation even on ICT platforms is the access to such ICT platforms both the schools, the teachers and the student. So, if the public health situation will call for a suspension and even work as you know now, then we’re thinking about millions of learners and thousands of schools nationwide with different levels of capacity for ICT platforms.”
“It’s too early for us to make a definitive statement on the adjustments that we will have to make when it comes to contingency measures for school opening. But certainly, ICT, even under normal conditions will already be strengthened for the coming school years, whether on the normal condition.”
