Service Recognition Incentive 2023 for Government Employees
The Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) is given to government employees to honor their hard work and vital support of the administration’s ongoing efforts to create more efficient government operations and responsive public service delivery.
In the previous years, an SRI not exceeding Twenty Thousand Pesos (P20,000) was given to personnel in the Executive Department.
For this year SRI, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. authorizes the grant of a one-time SRI at a uniform rate not exceeding PHP20,000 for all government personnel.
Who are qualified for Service Recognition Incentive (SRI)?
a. Civilian personnel of national government agencies (NGAs), including those in state universities and colleges (SUCs), government-owned or -controlled corporations (GOCCs), regular, contractual or casual employees, members of the military and the police, as well as fire and jail personnel under the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ;
b. Personnel of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA); and
c. Personnel of local government units (LGUs), including those in the villages, may also receive the incentive depending on the LGUs’ financial capability, subject to limitations in their respective budgets under the Local Government Code of 1991.
When will be the release of SRI 2023 ?
Malacañang released Administrative Order no. 12 (Authorizing the Grant of Service Recognition Incentive to Government Employees for Fiscal Year 2023
Based on AO No. 12, the release of SRI to all qualified government employees shall not be earlier than Dec. 15, 2023.
