2022 Clothing Allowance for DepEd Employees is Real
The annual clothing and uniform allowance amounting to 6,000 shall be released to all eligible personnel not earlier than the first working day of April of the current year, subject to existing accounting and auditing rules and regulations, and upon the release of the Notice of Cash Allocation from DBM. But many teachers are confused about how much the teachers’ clothing allowance will be received for this year 2022.
It started with the post of USEC. Annalyn M. Sevilla last month, stating that “Don’t worry much…transition year pa naman tayo this year. We have until the next SY 22-23 to prepare for this. We have been very flexible already. You can use a total of 12K clothing allowance (this year and the next) and more or less about another SY period to prepare for this new set of uniforms. With this, for clarification of the release of SY 2022 clothing allowance, according to Shiela Lim Manuel, “may payroll na po sa clothing, pero di po siya 12K, it’s only 6K for a year. Hindi naman pala iniadvance ni Usec Sevilla, press release nya lang.”
Shiela Lim Manuel of NCR asserts that the payroll for this year’s clothing allowance is now underway following the stipulated guidelines in DepEd guidelines in DepEd Memorandum No.16, s.2021.
Here are the guidelines on the new DepEd uniform for teaching and non-teaching personnel.
The Department of Education announces the adaptation of the four new sets of DepEd national uniform designs for teaching and two new national uniform designs for non-teaching personnel starting in the transition period of the School Year (SY) 2021–2022.
SY 2021–2022 shall be considered a “transition period” to allow ample time for employees to prepare and purchase a new set of prescribed uniforms. To facilitate the transition period, employees can still wear their old uniforms this coming SY 2021-2022. However, beginning in SY 2022–2023, all teaching and non-teaching personnel shall wear the prescribed new set of uniforms. – Doki | Helpline PH
