DepEd Reminds Schools to Keep Graduation and Moving Up Ceremonies Simple
The Department of Education (DepEd) has reminded schools to keep graduation and moving up ceremonies simple.
DepEd also advised public schools to adjust the time and venue of these activities to suit the hot weather. Education Assistant Secretary Francis Cesar Bringas suggested starting the ceremonies in the morning from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. In the afternoon, the ceremonies can start from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
DepEd emphasized that asking for donations or contributions from parents and students is prohibited. The government has allocated a budget for these events, so there is no need for extra funds.
