    Steps on how to avail GSIS Computer Loan

    The Government Service Insurance System(GSIS) again offers the Computer Loan to its members until June 30, 2022.

    The Computer Loan aims to provide a short-term loan facility for eligible GSIS members to enable them to purchase a desktop or laptop computer.

    Read the qualifications and requirements on how to avail the said loan below.

    QUALIFIED BORROWERS:

    Only active members with Permanent Appointments shall be qualified to avail of the GCL, provided that the member at the time of application:

    1. Has at least three (3) monthly premium contributions for both Personal Share and Government Share;
    2. Has no pending administrative case and/or criminal charge;
    3. Is not on leave without pay
    4. Has no GSIS Financial Assistance Loan (GFAL) arrearages;
    5. Has no past due GSIS loan/s, except housing loan;
    6. Is employed in an Agency which is not classified as “suspended”; and
    7. Can comply with the minimum net take home pay requirement of Php5,000.00, or such amount as provided in the General Appropriations Act, after all required monthly obligations have been deducted.

    LOANABLE AMOUNT:

    The loan amount shall be Thirty Thousand Pesos Php30,000.00

    PAYMENT TERMS:

    The loan repayment shall be made over three (3) years in thirty – six (36) equal monthly instalment in the amount of P983.33 per month only.

    INTEREST RATE AND MONTHLY AMORTIZATION:

    The annual interest rate shall be six percent (6%) computed in advance, with an annual effective rate of 11.6631%, computed as follows:

    REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION

    1. Application Form (click here)
    2. UMID Card or 2 government issued IDs

    STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE ON HOW TO APPLY

    a. Via Over-The-Counter

    1. Prepare 2 Valid IDs in the absence of GSIS UMID eCard or temporary eCard (1 copy, original to be presented for validation) and duly accomplished application form for computer loan (1 copy, original)
    2. Proceed to the Information Center get a queue number, then wait for your number to be called** (processing time – 60 minutes*)

    Note:
    *Time indicated depends on the number of transacting members on queue.
    **For Branch Offices with no Information Center, the Public Assistance and Complaints Desk (PACD) Officer of the Day performs the function.

    b. Via Dropbox

    1. Prepare 2 IDs in the absence of GSIS UMID eCard or temporary eCard (1 copy) and duly accomplished application form for computer loan (1 copy, original)
    2. Place the documents in a brown envelope and seal it with the following information:
      NAME
      TYPE OF LOAN
      GSIS HANDLING BRANCH
    3. Drop off the sealed brown envelope at your GSIS handling branch
    4. Wait for the acknowledgment notification and further instructions from GSIS

    c. Via Email

    1. Prepare the following:
      a. 2 Valid IDs in the absence of GSIS UMID eCard or temporary eCard (scanned copy)
      b. Duly accomplished application form for computer loan (scanned copy)
      c. clear picture of the borrower holding 2 Valid IDs or his GSIS UMID eCard (or Temporary eCard)
      Note: Take clear photo of the two (2) valid IDs (front and back) and;
    2. Email all the files with the subject:
      Sample: COMPUTERLOAN_2000123456_DELA CRUZ_JUAN_DPWH CEBU
    3. Wait for the acknowledgment notification and further instructions from GSIS

    d. Via GWAPS Process

    1. Go to a GWAPS kiosk nearest you.
    2. Place your eCard Plus/UMID in the [email protected] kiosk card reader. It will display your personal data.
    3. Choose Loan Windows icon and click Computer Loan
    4. To confirm your loan application, place selected finger on the biometric scanner. Your loan will be forwarded to your Agency Authorized Officer (AAO) for approval/disapproval. Wait for a text message notifying you of the status of your loan application.
    5. Once approved, you can withdraw anytime your loan proceeds from any Megalink, Bancnet and Expressnet ATM located nationwide.
