Public school teacher conducts house to house enrollment in Eastern Samar

A teacher from Eastern Samar takes the initiative to have a house to house enrollment in their area.

She patiently took the muddy road just to visit her students and let them enroll. Teacher Christine Ero spends 2 hours of walking just to reach the houses of her students.

According to Ero, there is no internet access and cellular phone signal is unstable in their place, that’s the reason why online enrollment is impossible for them.

Teacher Christine asks consideration from the Department of Education to allow them to have face-to-face classes in their place as they are far from the epicenter of COVID-19 pandemic.

She added that they will follow the necessary health protocol to avoid the spreading of the virus and to protect her student from diseases.

But Secretary Briones said that face-to-face classes are prohibited until a vaccine is available.
