Should the qualification of the teacher applicant be based on the ranking, or should it depend on the recommendations of the politicians or the higher position in DepEd?

Students enrolled in an education program have three basic goals: to finish college, pass the board exam, and, preferably, teach in public schools. When a teacher applicant becomes eligible to teach, they apply for a teaching post in a particular school through a ranking in the Division Office. Other applicants supported their families while waiting for the results by teaching online, working as a sales lady, working as a cashier in a department store, or working as a call center agent. Years went by while they waited, and they continued to renew their applications. They were not hired despite passing the ranking results because no one recommended them or had family members or relatives who worked in the Department of Education.

This is a frustrating scenario in the educational system in DepEd when qualified applicants are not hired and must wait a long time to teach. The most qualified candidates have no place in public schools. Maybe they’ve been waiting a long time if they have. Is this a good practice to have in the educational system? I believe the principal simply follows the advice of politicians or higher-ranking DepEd officials. To ensure that students receive a high-quality education, the principal should assess the teachers’ needs in the classroom before approving their proposals. What would happen to education if the teacher of science subjects was an araling panlipunan major? For example, the school requires mathematics teachers, and araling panlipunan  has been proposed. Is the araling panlipunan teacher capable of efficiently teaching mathematics to his or her students? As a result, students have insufficient knowledge of the subject, which has a significant impact on education. Students’ learning is the responsibility of the school’s principal and teachers.Their learning reflects how the principal runs the school. If you’re a concerned principal, make the necessary changes to your school. Are you unconcerned since you don’t have any children at the school you run? You have self-centered behavior that needs to be changed. Don’t be egotistical; instead, act professionally in your position. You should be concerned about your job and your students. Be on the lookout for retaliation.

Teacher applicants in public schools are dissatisfied with the scenario they found themselves in when applying for a teaching position. For them, teaching in a private school is preferable since the qualification is your skill to teach; you must be capable of molding the students’ minds for better learning. Despite the low pay, they are proud of their experience before to moving abroad to teach. As a result of their experience, they are considered one of the top teachers. – Doki | Helpline PH
