Public school teachers should also be allowed to grade their principal to achieve authentic results in 2023 and beyond
Public school teachers should also have a chance to grade their principals. In schools, only the teachers are bound to have a grade from their principal and superiors. It seemed unsatisfying to hear that only principals have the chance to grade them. If only teachers have the chance to do the same to their principals.
All public school teachers have their IPCRF. This serves as their general grade for their performance. Teachers need this when they wanted promotion. The signatories of the IPCRF will be the principal and the district supervisors. What will happen if a principal threaten a teacher using the grade in the IPCRF?
In some cases, other principals make use of the IPCRF to threaten their public school teachers. This is the advantage they have since they can manipulate the rating if they want to. Of course, this is one wrong move they can do that somehow will also boomerang their performance as well. The thought is that, if only teachers have the chance to grade their principals as well fair and square.
Although most principals want their grade to go high up, others may not understand it so well. Principals need to lift their teachers high up for them to be able to get high grades as well. With some other rare cases where the principal is the one making a commotion with his/her teachers. These are some rare cases that do not apply to all schools.
Teachers who experienced this kind of unfair treatment may have been a strong one. They are those who knew their positions and their capabilities very well. They are those who don’t want to be a puppet of a wrong leadership. They have their own judgment and they knew how to play the game very well.
Public school teachers don’t have the ability to rate their school heads. Yet, one thing for sure is that they can drag their school heads down if the situation permits. – Avril | Helpline PH
