First SONA of PBBM this 2022 Failed to Mention Certain Topics in Education Contrary to what Teachers are Expecting
The first SONA of PBBM this July 2022 is very important event and people are looking forward to it. Among these people are the teachers most of all who are very excited to hear latest news and updates from our PBBM. Yet, some groups of teachers were not satisfied on the first SONA of PBBM.
It has come to their realization that the first SONA of PBBM failed to mention important topics. Teachers were waiting for PBBM to mention topics like:
- salary increase used during political campaign
- GSIS concerns
- provisions in Magna Carta for public school teachers
- issue about excessive clerical works in this profession and many more
The first SONA of PBBM was well-delivered and is full of substance. Yet is missed some important aspects as teachers were expecting. On the other side of the coin, teachers still trust that this administration will be their hope. Teachers understand that this is the first SONA of PBBM and all the problems of the country can’t fit in a short time. The SONA may not mention more on the topics related to teachers but it does not mean PBBM forgot them.
Teachers are still patient and waiting for the right time. The fact that PBBM already pass a bill increasing the salary of teachers many times before his reign. Teachers realized that PBBM is not a man of word but a man of work. What good is it for teachers to hear many promises yet at the end of the day remains promises? Teachers are going to wait for PBBM to help them in their sentiments and clamor.
Teachers are hoping in the soonest time possible that they will again rise because of PBBM’s help. They all appreciate the first SONA of PBBM since it talks about rising again as Filipinos. Our new president’s determination to battle poverty and the prevailing problems is strong.
We must all keep hoping and praying that the economy will rise again during the reign of PBBM. Everything is going back to normal if we all trust and support the new administration. – Alec | Helpline PH
