2022 Salary Increase for Teachers is Here

The waiting for the 2022 salary increase for teachers is finally here. This is in pursuant to Republic Act No. 11466 of the “Salary Standardization Law of 2019” .

“All civilian government personnel in the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches, Constitutional Offices, government-owned or controlled corporations (GOCCs) not covered by Republic Act 10149, and local government units (LGUs) are set to receive their salary increase to be implemented in 4 tranches.”

The implementation of the 3rd tranche of the said increase will be on January 2022. This comes with the new DepEd memorandum on the salary to be on the 15th and 30th of the month.

Public school teachers of some regions confirmed the new salary guidelines. They have already received their salaries on the 15th and 30th of the month. They also confirmed that they have received their 2022 salary increase. This is from the 3rd tranche of the Salary Standardization Law of 2019.

Despite all the commotions on social media about teachers not voting for the 15 and 30, it still went on. Many groups of teachers discouraged the thought of the schedule. To note that this will mark big changes with their net pay. Teachers will now expect that the net pay will be lesser every salary. Teachers have no other choice except to accept the fact that these changes will be here and for good. This is the surest thing to know.

In other regions and provinces, these changes are yet to come true. In most cases, it will fall in early February or March before the changes be visible to the payslip of the teachers. This is the most thrilling part of the new changes. “There is nothing constant in this world except change.”
