Prepare our learners for the future — Briones
Education Secretary Leonor Briones urged teachers to prepare learners for the future.
“The future cannot wait for us. When our children graduate, everything that we have taught them will become irrelevant because knowledge will have changed. Our teachers have to change along with our learners, and they will not be only teaching, but they will also be learning along with the students,” Briones said.
“We have to prepare our learners for the future. We are already late but we should not be late for the future. We should never forget our history, what we are as a people, and how we look,” she added.
Last year, DepEd created Education Futures Unit to integrate advancements in learning and teaching processes.
Briones also visited the Benguet Special Education Center to oversee the implementation of limited face-to-face classes.
