Briones discuss impact of education on PH growth in UK talk
Education Secretary Leonor Briones explained how the country responded to several educational challenges, in her talk at this year’s Education World Forum (EWF) in the United Kingdom on Tuesday.
“One of these is the response of the department to lack of access to education in other areas in the country through building education facilities,” the DepEd chief said in Filipino.
Briones’ talk during the plenary session focused on the equity and resources of basic education in the country.
Other important points were also discussed including education’s impact on the country’s economic growth, resilience, emotional learning, and education for girls, among others.
Earlier, Briones said the forum will advance wider opportunities and partnerships for Filipino learners.
“We are here so we can share our collective experiences and we are looking forward to helping each other and being a part of the discussion,” she said.
