DepEd in ‘good hands’ if Sara Duterte leads– Briones

According to Education Secretary Leonor Briones, the Department of Education will be in “good hands” once presumptive Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio heads the agency.

Briones said she is opened to the announcement of presumptive President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. that he would appoint Duterte-Carpio as DepEd secretary.

“I and the DepEd family are ready to work with her team for the orderly transition of DepEd leadership,” Briones said

“We are confident that DepEd will be in able hands and anticipate a continuity.”

According to Marcos, Sara Duterte has agreed to lead the agency.

  1. Yes, I vehemently believe that the Department of Education (DepEd) is in the right and progressive hand if presumptive Vice Pres. Inday Sarah Duterte-Carpio will lead the agency. Her experience as Chair of the LSB, will be her top caliber weapon to battle the problems and needs in the academe. The DepEd needs a strong Secretary (just like the outgoing Sec Leonor Magtolis Briones) who have the will power to decide to improve the teachers welfare, because I believe that everything in the classroom comes from the teacher. He/she can create or destroy the learning influence of the children. But if the teacher is free from debts, she will have a good and happy disposition which will radiate in classroom, thus teaching is easily dispense.
