Over 925k teachers to receive P1,000 as World Teachers’ Day Incentive Benefit: DepEd

More than 900,000 teachers will receive P1,000 as World Teachers’ Day Incentive Benefit for this year’s celebration, the Department of Education said.

 DepED Spokesman Michael Poa, said that 925,178 teachers will be receiving the annual incentive benefit during the celebration of WTD every Oct. 5.

 He also said that the funds for the incentive were already downloaded to the respective regions.

 Poa said that the incentive is “ready and will be released by Oct. 5” because based on the guidelines, the said cash benefit “should not be released earlier than Oct. 5.”

“Definitely, we will release this incentive by Oct. 5,” he added.

Meanwhile, Poa said that preparations for the 2022 NTD/WTD celebration have already been ongoing.

“I also believe that in their respective schools, they [teachers] have specific celebrations that they will do,” Poa said.
