Become Certified Microsoft Innovative Educations (MIE)
Opportunity for DepEd Teaching Personnel, Private School Teachers, and Education Majors to Become Certified Microsoft Innovative Educations (MIE)
In its continuous effort to equip more educators with skills, resources and materials for best practices and learning approaches in the 21st century, the Information and Communications Technology Service – Educational Technology (ICTS-EdTech) Unit recommends personnel of the Department of Education (DepEd) to earn their Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Certification for FREE at the Microsoft Educator Center (http://education.microsoft.com).
The MIE Program recognizes global education visionaries who are using technology to pave the way for their peers to facilitate better learning and student outcomes. MIEs have demonstrated the use of Microsoft tools in the classroom and have learned the fundamentals in using these tools for teaching and learning.
Further, this program provides opportunities for educators to access a library of free and on-demand trainings, courses, and learning paths via the Microsoft Educator Center. This enables them to do the following:
- earn personalized digital certificates and badges upon completion of courses;
- showcase earned credentials in their respective LinkedIn profiles; and
- join a network of innovative educators across the globe.
The following are the steps to earn the Certified MIE badge:
