GSIS to give cash gift beginning Dec. 6

The cash gift for seniors and those with disability is equal to a pensioner’s monthly benefit.

GSIS will release a total of P3.35 billion.

“We know that pensioners are anticipating the Christmas cash gift and this will make their Christmas merry,” GSIS president and general manager Wick Veloso said.

“So starting Dec. 6, the cash gift would have been credited to their e-card and they can withdraw,” Veloso added.

Pension benefits from the GSIS may be withdrawn from any Bancnet, Megalink or Expressnet ATMs worldwide, according to the fund’s website.

Those qualified to receive the Christmas cash gift are old-age and disability pensioners who are receiving their regular monthly pensions and are living as of Nov. 30, 2022.
