DepEd, won’t be strict with class attendance and will suspend classes during bad weather

The Department of Education guarantees that the policy of class attendance under Distance Learning is flexible.

DepEd Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio explained that within this school year, the chosen learning delivery modality of the student will be the basis for student attendance.

Teachers may check attendance by monitoring students in online classes or the outputs submitted by students in printed modules.

Teachers are reminded not to be strict in checking student attendance especially when it’s bad weather.

DepEd announced earlier that the department will still suspend classes particularly when a typhoon comes.
