FREE WiFi Access to students
Governor Jonvic Remulla happily informed the public that Cavite Province will now have a Free WiFi system that would help students in the new normal set up of education.
“I am very happy to announce that the Province of Cavite is about to embark on a massive rollout of a FREE WiFi system that shall cover (up to 90%) of the residential areas,” Remulla announced on his Facebook page.
“During the ongoing quarantine period, the #CaviteFreeWiFi shall be purely utilized for the educational or academic requirements of public school or DepEd (Department of Education) students which they can access using their ID number,” he added.
The WiFi system project can also be used for research, online retail, and knowledge generation.
“Once the economy overcomes its present challenges, the internet infrastructure can then be used as a tool for research, connectivity, online retail, and knowledge generation,” he said.
“Our hope is that one day, the network becomes a beacon for empowerment so that innovation and collaboration can light up our beloved province,” Remulla added.
Remulla said that he will soon sign a contract with a telecommunications company to realize the project.
