DepEd sets early Christmas break for students starting December 13

In the DepEd’s updated school calendar, Christmas vacation for students is set early. At the same time, this will also end the first quarter of the academic year.

Based on the adjusted school calendar, The first academic quarter started on October 5 and will end on December 12, 2020. The second quarter will be from January 4, 2020, to February 27, 2021. The third quarter will be from March 1, 2021, to April 24. 2021 and the fourth quarter will be from April 25, 2021, to June 11, 2021.

With these changes, the holiday break for students will start on Saturday, December 13, 2020, and ends on Sunday, January 3, 2021. While the teachers will have their in-service training on December 14-19, 2020.

Amid this pandemic, Christmas is still worth celebrating. Children still deserve a joyous holiday break and so do teachers.
