Advisory of the Conduct of In-Service Training (INSET) for Teachers 2022

Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 29, s. 2021 (School Calendar and Activities for School Year 2021-2022), the Department of Education (DepEd) Reiterates the conduct of In-Service Training (INSET) for teachers from January 31 to February 5, 2022.
The aforementioned schedule may be adjusted only in the schools where the regional/ division offices have declared class suspension due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in their areas as provided for in DM-CI-2022-009, Reiterating the Policy on Academic Ease and Allowing the Suspension of Classes and Other Teaching-Related Activities in the Midst of the Surge in COVID-19 Cases.
Regardless of the adjustment in the schedule of INSET, the following provision in DO No. 29, s. 2021 shall apply:
22. The first two days of the five-day mid-year break may be spent to evaluate the school’s progress attained in the implementation of the educational programs, project, and activities (PPAs), as well as to review the performance of teachers and school staff in order to address concerns through collaborative effort. The last three days may be devoted for the conduct of the school -based In-Service Training (INSET) activities for the teachers’ continued professional development and the preparation for their Instructional Materials (IMs).
