GMRC as a core subject from kindergarten to grade 3

Before Senator Lacson filed Senate Bill 1185 or the “Good Manners and Right Conduct Act of 2019,”.  There are two senators already presented the same bill, which is ‘good manners and right conduct’ as a core subject in Elem, HS.

Senate Bill 1185  seeks to make good manners and right conduct (GMRC) a core subject in the Philippine education system from the kindergarten to the third-grade levels.

He pointed out that it is needed to revive the GMRC subject because of the disadvantage used of new technologies in social media skills and the behavior of the children.

The curriculum will center on the basic principles of good manners and right conduct such as self-care, concern for others, respect, discipline and order, sincerity, honesty, obedience, and patriotism.
